I had breakfast with an old friend in Washington last Monday. We talked about a LOT of subjects. He knows Washington and U.S. politics better than almost anyone. He mentioned that he was sent a screenshot of Roger Stone on some social media site (Facebook? I forget) where Stone called him a pompous asshole.
Now I have known Norm (my friends name) for over two decades, and he is obviously neither. Not even slightly. But he IS a brilliant writer and political commentator. He is sometimes called Washingtons most quoted pundit. Since he is brilliant, eloquent and straightforward, it only stands to reason that just about anything he would write or say would bother Roger Stone. But to be singled out in this manner by a man who tries out every year for the title of Worst American Alive, now THAT is an achievement!

(2,856 posts)Roger Stone calling anyone a "pompous asshole," much less Norm Ornstein, is the height of projection. And, we all know what a world class (pompous asshole) authority Roger Stone is on projection.
