The Supreme Court is caught up in the chaos and confusion...

They seem to be talking to just hear themselves talk.

They sit there in total seriousness as Trump's lawyer argues for absolute immunity. They ponder the legitimacy of the lawyer's responses as he tells them that no president will ever be able to act boldly again, for fear of being held criminally responsible for his actions.

Yes, it is part of the official duties of a president if he sells nuclear secrets to a foreign enemy. It is part of his official duties if he gets his military to assassinate his political rivals. It is OK to lead a coup to overthrow our government. It is part of his official duties to lead a fraudulent effort to put fake ballots in front of the Congress and the National Archives, in order to say he won the election.

And yet, most of them sit there enthralled by the possibility and reasonableness of the lawyer's ridiculous and insane claims.

They have lost their minds. How do they continue with this charade? Why do they act as if this is a serious question for them to rule upon?

Bought off by the highest bidder.

It is not on their radar to follow the law, do what is right, or work for the American people.

If you can sow doubt, you can flummox a lot of minds who then must consider what you said. This is mind control.

If it were a movie we would say that it was totally lame and unbelievable. It fact if I hadn’t seen them rip women’s reproductive rights away with the bat of an eyelash, I wouldn’t believe anything would come of it. But, we know better! Very frightening.

5. in their view, the federal government can't prevent idaho from criminalizing anything, e.g., black people voting.

but the president could murder the governor of idaho, rape his daughters, steal his money, do the same to any prosecutor who tries to bring charges or any reporter who says one negative peep, and he can pardon himself and anyone who helped him.

i supposed such a president would have to be careful to avoid doing anything outside of federal territory to avoid breaking a state law.

then again, he can commit enough crimes in d.c. to force a state governor to pardon him, so really he can get away with anything.

amazing how this country and so many presidents managed to get by without such powers, but all of a sudden, the office will be hopelessly impaired if a president doesn't have full immunity.

and of course, i'm sure the founders, who fled european countries run by dictators and despots, established the constitution in order to give a president license to commit any crime he felt like committing.

these people are evil.

and yeah, they're stupid and insane. they're contemplating telling biden, hey, if you murder us in order to create some open seats on the supreme court, no one can ever do anything to you. not that biden would ever do such a thing. but donnie certainly would....

They're getting out their Sharpies to mark up the Constitution.

Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness, becomes

• Life until birth,
• Libertarianism, and
• The Pursuit of Money by those who already have it. (Alternately: Suits get Happiness.)
