If presidents, or a president, is given total immunity, it would be the end of presidential elections. The incumbent would simply remain in power by decree, brute force, or handing off to his VP. Such a president could also prorogue Congress and rule by EO's or proclamations. Trump would dismantle the federal government. Voters didn't authorize these things.

The gaslighting bombast from Sauer is a toe-in-the-door strategy for Christo-Fascim and Trump Camps for the rest of us.
