(35,850 posts)I realized that a basic difference between republicans and democrats is that the former have no belief in investing in their fellow humans. What is a nation but its people? They dont believe in investing in that, bringing others along, using our collective resources to make life better for everyone.
What did they think? Just let the bridges fall and then what?

And youre right about investing in fellow humans. Conservatives explicitly mock the very idea of empathy, so anything that helps another person without directly benefiting the Conservative is an abomination.
