And the only reason it got into any movie theaters at all is that Twentieth Century Fox was contractually bound to do a bare minimum showing.

During production, Fox wound up thinking that the movie was too anti - business and stopped supporting it.

If Fox had been smart, they would've just bought the script and then buried it. We'd never have known about it. That would've made it a true catch and kill.

But the movie got made and those who have seen the movie can recommend it to others. So, it's a bungled catch and kill.

Idiocracy is a fantastic movie. Highly recommended.

It appears intelligence is not linked to the parents being intelligent. The genetic components are complex (many small genes) and relatively low IQ people can produce a high IQ child and vice versa. It's all in the mix. What is readily apparent is that high income people can put more money into educating the child.
