8 officers were shot today by either a 17 yr old male or woman with high powered weapon. 3 dead.

one of these persons with a high powered weapon against an army of officers and the officers lose their lives. we need to have real discussion about the proliferation of guns in the US.

Three officers on a U.S. Marshals Task Force serving a warrant for a felon wanted for possessing a firearm were killed and five other officers were wounded in a shootout Monday at North Carolina home, police said.

The officers were first shot at by the wanted suspect as they approached the suburban home in Charlotte and they killed him in the front yard, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Johnny Jennings said.

A second person then fired on officers from inside the home where a high-powered rifle was found, Jennings said.

A woman and a 17-year-old male were found in the home after a three-hour standoff that included armored vehicles crashing into the suburban home in a tree-lined neighborhood and tearing off doorways and windows.

The two are being questioned, Jennings said.

"we need to have real discussion about the proliferation of guns in the US."

Well, at least its not the usual 'thoughts and prayers.'

If SANDY HOOK didn't get action I truly do not know what it will take to make it happen.........

Citizens being massacred at school, at church, in nightclubs and shopping malls are one thing. Cost of doing business.

But when the cops are outgunned? Hard to argue the answer is arm more citizens.

have long ignored police chiefs across the country who advocate for gun control. And they made clear that they fon't support police when it counts after January 6.
