An open letter to Act Blue and the Democratic Party.

First, let me say, thank you AB for providing a powerful, easy platform to deliver small time contributions.

But it's time to change....if you can.

Stop flooding contibutors with more solicitations. I am getting 100+ begs for money. I am doing $300.00/mo now.

Try this, have politicians sign up to your network. No direct personal emails allowed. I, as a contributor would take my $300.00 and allocate as desired. You serve up a carte blanch menu of every federal and state office....let me allocate the funds as I see fit. You get your 10%. I get "0" funding beg emails, and I might just contribute more - if I had an effective platform to direct my funds on an ongoing, monthly basis.

Could be a whole new way to think about financial political contributions.

But I don’t keep abreast of all the various races. So giving ActBlue it’s my understanding they point the money to where it’s most needed. I’m ok with at too.

ActBlue doesn't allocate contributions "where they're needed most". Someone needs to set up an allocation formula for a contributions page.

And yes, it is running to the hundreds of requests. I was hoping to wait until after the campaign season was over before Unsubscribing from everyone — but I may not be able to wait that long. It’s intolerable, because personal mail is swamped under.

They're a platform that candidates and supporters choose to use. If you want to complain, do so to the candidates you're receiving requests from. But I'll tall you it won't do you any good. You want campaigns built on grass-roots contributions, this is the system you'll have.
