...it does seems like things are ramping up. I know who I'm voting for so I don't need to get swept up in anything else, and have been thinking of taking it easy myself. It's good to be in a place where it's all pretty nice and people are all pretty friendly, if we can turn off the computer and step out from time to time.

These are bad times. I am Irish and completely capable of laughing at the absurdity in my Country at the moment. I feel the back/forth amongst us DUers is nothing more than a loud family expressing their opinions around the kitchen table. When it is over we still love each other. Get some fresh air in the backyard and come back into the house when you are ready.

You should just take a break if needed.

I’m more of a reader/lurker than a poster, I don’t consider myself particularly articulate. I appreciate the way, more often than not, you express in words what I cannot.

And posting less than 5 percent.

I've lost the plot on the world in general.

While it isn't as bad as what happened in 2016, the potential is there.

My only thoughts is that because of the current situation, parts of DU have become a toxic environment, and that isn't right.

If something specific happened where you had a post removed, and believe it was not fair, I would strongly encourage you to appeal.

A lot of us have been in the same situation as you have.

The charter of GD has been broken. And the charter still stands. I will privately share my trash list, which keeps MY EYE ON THE PRIZE.

I'm sorry to see you go but I understand the reasoning behind it. I haven't always agreed with you but still have respect for you. Don't stay away for too long.

I rarely post and I am much less active than I was in the humble DU beginnings.

Back in the day I think a lot of us invested more time and did more research. I detest twitter and the damage I think it has done to our world. I suppose in a word...I've become an old fuddy duddy.

But to my point, you are someone I have always appreciated your posts and seek them out from time to time.

Take care of yourself and do what you think best. Hope you stay in touch....but if not, your input will be missed by more than one, I'm sure.
