The Hoopla Over Campus Protests Violence is EXACTLY WHAT MAGA WANTS
If one followed the MSM and subsequent online readings of late, one might think the only things of importance happening of late were Trump's trial, and violent clashes at campus protests over the Israeli - Gaza War.
One might not realize that what is also occurring is an ongoing ever increasing right winged assault upon voting rights, including mail in ballots, the diminishing of minority voter representation via redistricting, the purging of registered voters, and the ongoing death threats to election workers.
One might miss the rolling back of other civil rights, including the persecution and criminalization of pregnant women seeking divorce, women seeking abortion whose fetuses are unviable or whose lives are at risk, the criminalization of their doctors and care providers, and even possession of the abortion pill.
One might forget that while Trump and his MAGAs have enabled the lowest tax rate for the wealthy EVER, are trying to jack up credit card fees, and undermine Social Security, Obamacare, Medicare, Medicaid, and other programs designed to assist AMERICANS, they are also blocking free lunch programs for children while ALSO working to scrap child labour laws that protect children from workplace abuse.
Hell, one might even forget that a rapist, insurrectionist, who's promised to be a dictator from day one, prosecute his enemies and political opponents, promises civil war if he loses, believes he has the right to do whatever the fuck he wants, who wants to be king for life, and who faces no less than 88 charges for his MANY crimes,
now has a Supreme Court, even not-jokingly CONSIDERING, making him immune from prosecution for ALL OF IT.
And that's exactly how MAGA wants it. They want us at each others throats over Israel and Gaza so well forget who they are and what they're planning - so we won't see what's coming.

As the cable news has breathlessly covered, there was violence this week at UCLA. But even then, it was not the leftist protesters to blame, but a gang of far-right counter-protesters who rushed in and started to attack students. As ABC 7 reported, violence only broke out "when counter-protesters tried to break down the encampment." Unfortunately, this was framed by much of the media as "clashes" between protesters and the right-wing assailants. Any good faith reading of the situation is clear: The far-right demonstrators stormed the encampment and started the violence. The student protesters were defending themselves.
