(14,379 posts)I believe it was AFTER Timothy McVeigh was convicted that a law was enacted prohibiting someone convicted federally with a sentence of life or death to be refused burial with military honors.
I don't see any reason we should not pursue this.

(3,093 posts)The punishment MUST be be legally sanctioned and no official should fall asleep. Why sacrifice the Bill of Rights for that thing? It must not meet the same fate as Epstein while in custody. No, Im not okay with murder.. Are you? Im anti-death penalty, but if a Court ordered its execution, honestly, I would sleep well and love my country all the more.

(9,037 posts)That makes the most sense of any plan I've heard!
I'm pretty sure the SS has a very secure location with some sort of food service for employees already, give him a room and bathroom and call it a day.

Donald can take some comfort it that.
For the Secret Service, duty sitting outside a cell wouldn't be much different than their other duty. The Trumpet would not be in much danger in a solitary confinement cell, unless of course, he self-destructed from not having a Big Mac and a Diet Coke on demand.

(15,034 posts)More like spandou. A prison built for one.
A closed military base or hospital wing. A room with a shower, a cot, desk, maybe a comfy chair.

(15,557 posts)And if a prisoner puts his hands on Trump, the SS would be in their right to use lethal force. It would be a disaster. He has to go to a special prison.

He would most likely go into a high security wing or prison, where all it takes is a minimal detachment of SS agents to assist in protecting him. These facilities do not have the inmates interacting with the general population, or even each other. They stay in their cells 23 hours, and get out for physical activity an hour per day--with only a guard to oversee them. Their showers are in their cells. They get and eat meals in their cells.
This is an example of what such a facility, or section of a facility, looks like in modern prisons:
That's the 'control area' for a high security wing at ADX Florence, but other prisons have similar facilities. Do you see inmates together or wandering around? Of course not--because they are confined to their cells unless it's time for their time in the exercise pen. So how many agents do you thing would be needed there? My guess: One per shift.
To be on the safe side, the SS could also post agents to oversee the prison perimeter and any interior access points, and that should cover it all. And don't forget that, like prison guards, SS agents would work a shift, then they get to go home. It would mostly be a cushy job. Terminal boredom may be a bigger problem than anything else.
