(10,211 posts)Maybe there was some uplift along the coast*. The last time I was in southern New Jersey there weren't any mountains on the beach.
*Happened in Northern California after the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. The coast range got about 4 inches higher!

(10,298 posts)The Boss was pulling in giant crowds in NJ when I was a kid in college in Philadelphia. Trump couldn't even match Springsteen's 1976 crowds. Springsteen was born in NJ and NJ will never let him forget it, they love him.
Trump's crowds have been getting smaller and smaller every day, just like his brain capacity.
Sorry, I'm lost!

On December 31, 1994, Rod Stewart performed at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro in front of an estimated 3.5 to 4.2 million people.

(14 posts)If they were so desperate to lie effectively, they really couldn't have just taken a real photo of the rally crowd and zoomed in to make it look like an authentic, larger crowd (at least at a first glance)?
Americans are so lucky that these clowns aren't intelligent in the slightest. They're already dangerous in their current form, could you imagine if Stone, Giuliani, Trump, etc. were all actually intelligent?
Think. Again.

(11,203 posts)Just before it went away, I saw that it was a first time poster. The jury decision (or MIRT decision) to remove the post was correct - likely a troll.
ShazzieB
(16,808 posts)MIRT's role is to keep an eye on new posters and send disruptive ones packing.
Whenever a new member makes a post that gets removed by a jury, that's a red flag that MIRT looks at closely to determine whether that account gets banned or is given another chance.
When a new account gets nuked, as MIRT likes to call it, all of their posts automatically disappear.

(1,567 posts)Every now and again I let myself be floored by how stupid these people are.
I have to remind myself that it doesnt matter. Because the audience they are appealing to are the stupidest and most ignorant.
I remain confident that Trump doesnt have a chance and the Republicans as a whole are a doomed party.
I do not see it even being anything resembling close, even though pretty much everything I read (on trump-paid media, of course, which so much is) says it will be. No, sorry, it won't be close. They are not taking enraged women's votes enough into account. Ignoring women is something they do consistently.

'Rio de Newjersio': Trump friend mocked for using Brazilian photo to lie about rally size
Roger Stone and Donald Trump
Longtime Donald Trump friend and confidant Roger Stone came under fire on Sunday after posting an unrelated photo in an effort to show that the state of New Jersey could be won by Trump in the upcoming 2024 election.
Trump spoke in the Garden state on Saturday, and was criticized for his apparent slurring of speech. Conservative lawyer George Conway went as far as to challenge the mainstream media for failing to properly report on the former president's "aphasia."
Trump bragged about the size of the crowd in New Jersey, but it was also reported that some people started leaving early.
. . .
According to Listverse, the photo is actually a representation of a record for what is deemed the "largest music concert in history."

(15,315 posts)the photos look like less. They had an area of the beach/boardwalk cordoned off. It was full, but hard to estimate the crowd without knowing the dimensions of the area. I'm not sure the attendees would've filled up either the Eagles or NYJ/NYG football stadiums. I did see in one report of an interviewee saying this was the 52nd time he'd been to a Trump rally. Makes you wonder just how many people are repeat attendees.

(14 posts)The whole MAGA movement is not based on any real governance or care for the political system. There are insidious, genuinely experienced, frightening people who fund and support the movement, but at its core, it has nothing to offer to Americans.
It's just meant to troll liberals. That's it. It's a political movement based on trolling the opposition like they're mischievous children. Everything is funny to them and deliberately offensive, childish, and off putting. Unfortunately, plenty of voters love drama and reality show crap which has led to a culture where everything has to always be entertaining or shocking instead of stable and normal.
