Seems to be growing actually. Maybe the never-Trumper voters are growing. If Haley starts taking 30->40% going forward, the Republican convention could get interesting.

40 years ago, the internet and the RW "news" sources didn't exist. I think that started changing in the 90's with the BS Clinton whitewater / Christmas card scandals, culminating in the Clinton impeachment. Ironic that the Gore/Clinton initiative to commercialize the existing military internet has meant to world's economy while bringing us more RW propaganda, worldwide.

Probably 90% of Trump voters ARE repulsed by him, personally.

That's NOT why they vote for him. He's no moral compass or icon as a man.

He gives POWER to those voting for him... power to "stick Lefty" or "stick the gays, immigrants" or just the power to hate.

Trump is a tool to the Right. He's the sledge hammer promising to break the system. No one cares if he bamgs pornstars, lies constantly, is a felon, rapist or cheater... they don't care.

And that's enough to win the election... if we don't GOTV.

so even large percentages by Haley result in "0 delegates" for her....

and there are hardly any primaries left to be held, at this point.... other than a few small-delegate states.

They'll coronate him with his terrible sons and their worse wives front and center as a better-dressed version of Duck Dynasty.

Just as its not a big surprise that Trump got over 88% of the primary vote in West Virginia, while President Biden only got around 71% of the vote in that state.

If trump is still the republican nominee that Republicans, either mark their ballot for Joe Biden, or they can’t “stomach voting for a Democrat” instead of holding their nose and voting for Trump. They write in Nikki Haley.
It would split the vote
Of course the world would be a better place if they all just vote Joe

that the Repug convention will see a brokered nomination. So far, nothing has dissuaded me from this idea. It only scares me. Haley is trump in a skirt -- maybe not quite as crazy, but crazy enough to do as she is told if she's elected.

There's no evidence that the party itself is abandoning Trump. In fact, today's display at the courthouse pretty much shows that they're all behind him - especially those who count.

Haley might be winning marginal support in the primaries, but it's not netting her any delegates. Trump needed 1,215 delegates to win the nomination. Right now, he's at 2,142. Haley? 97.

The only way there's a brokered convention is if Trump goes to jail for a prolonged period of time and drops out - or keels over.

I don't think it's that funny b/c she's going end up being numnutz's running mate. He'll want her votes. She'll want the power. All the people who talk tough against him end up kissing the ring, kissing his a*s.

I don't want her on the ticket bringing any "sane" republican votes with her. I also don't want her to be the main candidate b/c I think she'd a more formidable opponent (not b/c she's that great, but b/c she's partially sane). I still fear the 1st female president will be an r. When D's run a woman, she's subject to horrible attacks, bringing her down. When r's run a woman, they're not subject to those attacks. As was pointed out by EarlG (in the post about DU making a national article -- about how our side isn't disgusting with death threats and crap), we don't do that stuff.

I feel about her the way I felt about numnutz in 2016. I didn't want to run against him. Obvs russia & comey helped him win, prolly wouldn't have won without them. Nonetheless, I wanted to run against cruz. cruz would've gotten the evangelical freaks vote. They'll vote for any r. But cruz wouldn't have gotten the goobers on the barstools at the local pub excited to vote. numnutz got them excited to vote. He gets them excited to attend his rallies. There's a whole swath of voters that are now voting who prolly didn't have a sh*t about voting before 2016.

I do believe his campaign will push him to select her because of his vulnerabilities but Trump won't sign off on it. He will only support someone who has undying loyalty to him. He isn't going to risk another Mike Pence situation.

I can def see him wanting someone who kisses his a*s nonstop and has been for years. Plenty of those around. But I think he'll be swayed by her having good #'s which help him (assuming that's the case...I don't know the #'s). And he seems to like them when they start kissing his a*s again. They all do. They run against him and trash him. Or they leave his cabinet and trash him. They all eventually come crawling back, kissing his a*s.

All those who were running against him (florida douche, burgham or whatever his name is, timscott, etc..)...and all those who left him (barr, etc...) come crawling back. I wouldn't doubt if pence and christie come back soon.
