I started to do it online but there was no way to leave a comment so I did so by phone so I could voice my displeasure about Komen's decision.
I have also cancelled all charitable donations and time that my business used to give to organizations that support Komen and re-directed funds to causes that support Planned Parenthood and other local breast cancer organizations. That way I am not shortchanging breast cancer funding but supporting organizations that really want to make a difference and don't let politicians dictate their agenda.

(1,650 posts)we don't have a PP for 75 miles. However, we do have several pregnancy assistance centers that do nothing more than give ultrasounds to women to influence their decision, all while failing to give them any information about birth control.

(62,683 posts)She had her pap smear done at PP. Her insurance covered it totally, and if one is uninsured, PP has a sliding scale.
I loved that she did that instead of going to her regular physician! Just passing it along!
