Breast Cancer linked to Abortion?

I doubt if this is true at all.

http://www.youtube.com/comment?lc=JnrhCDvAA9yVvr3d3WlwfgFKw8FmPQIlEb0TA4H_tLc

@ElizaNotta Call me naive, but I rather have both women and their children living, rather than having the children aborted and the mothers later developing breast cancer directly due to the abortion. It's a sad cycle that must be stopped, and SGK did the right thing, in my opinion, by defunding the #1 abortion provider in the country.

But you know none of the detail behind it will be put out. Not that it would matter if they did, lunatics that buy into shit like this are as crazy as the birthers, show them facts and they just go "nu uh".

science to back it up. Here's what the National Cancer Institute found:

http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/factsheet/Risk/abortion-miscarriage

In February 2003, the National Cancer Institute (NCI) convened a workshop of over 100 of the world’s leading experts who study pregnancy and breast cancer risk. Workshop participants reviewed existing population-based, clinical, and animal studies on the relationship between pregnancy and breast cancer risk, including studies of induced and spontaneous abortions. They concluded that having an abortion or miscarriage does not increase a woman’s subsequent risk of developing breast cancer. A summary of their findings can be found in the Summary Report: Early Reproductive Events and Breast Cancer Workshop.

Because spontaneous abortions are, uh, natural. Yeah, that's it, those are natural, so they don't cause cancer, but those other ones, where you choose to do it, that totally causes cancer. Seriesly.

science and absolutely no link between abortion and breast cancer has been determined. A RW canard that's been around for years.

In general, the more children a woman has given birth to, the lower her risk of breast cancer so a person desperate to make spurious claims could draw a connection.

But there is no evidence of a causal abortion/breast cancer link.

NCI regularly reviews and analyzes the scientific literature on many topics, including various risk factors for breast cancer. Considering the body of literature that has been published since 2003, when NCI held this extensive workshop on early reproductive events and cancer, the evidence overall still does not support early termination of pregnancy as a cause of breast cancer.

People with breasts are far more likely to get abortions and are also more likely to get breast cancer than people without breasts.

Then, after further and further studies, the link was roundly refuted. He is disingeneous. Oops, I didnt notice the latest study. All the while, elevating the subject, and his profile, for creating a furor. As that is what he promises, to call Obama a doodiehead.

One tentative link turns into common knowledge... and it doesn't happen by accident, it happens because these people cling onto it, refuse to listen to anyone else, and start passing it around in their twisted cult-like ideology-confirming emails to eachother.

Similarly, there was a correlation found to breast cancer with birth control pills. But it's since been determined that the increased detection of early forms of breast cancer in women taking birth control pills is actually very likely due to the fact that they go to the doctor more, partially to get the pills. But guess what? Now everyone and their dog thinks birth control pills cause cancer.

And it's not just anti-choice, anti-contraception people who use this technique. Here's Bryan Fischer from the American Family Association saying being a lesbian causes uterine and breast cancer (because it's durty):

but if people are concerned about abortions causing cancer, why is it that so many of those same conservatives are just fine with cancer-causing pollution from the "free market"? Why aren't they in favor of banning cigarettes or alcohol, both linked to cancer? Total disingenuous argument, they don't give a crap if you get cancer.
