Bill would require drug tests for Missouri lawmakers

<skip>

Rep. Rick Brattin has sponsored legislation that would require members of the General Assembly to be subject to random drug testing during the legislative session. Anyone who tests positive for illegal substances would be removed from office and prohibited from running for any elected office again for two years.

“I think we should live by the same standard we are asking others to live by,” Brattin said. "Our salaries are paid by taxpayers, so we should assure them we aren't using that money on drugs."

The bill has been assigned to the House General Laws Committee, but it has not yet been scheduled for a public hearing.

If Brattin is looking for support for his bill, he may be able to count on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

2. That's only half the problem. The wrong drugs are legal.

I don't want ANY legislators or lawmakers wired on stimulants, with their well-known side effects of aggression, paranoia, and self-righteousness. ANY stimulants. Never mind alcohol, a nation of fucking speed freaks has NO MORAL POSITION WHATSOEVER to criticize users of other drugs from.

No coffee.
No tea.
No caffeinated drinks.
No Ritalin.
No Adderall.
No Desoxyn.

For at least ten years, or long enough to find out what human beings are like without this in our culture.

just sayin'...

There are people whose ideal life would be sleeping it away. Who am I to argue?

My theory is you've got to be on crack to join the Republican Party...so if we start piss testing Repukes, a LOT of them will be back home working in Rick Brattin's drywall company.
