Don't turn on Fox if you're a Whitney Houston fan. They're obsessing over crack pipes and codependency with Bobby Brown. I just was flipping channels and saw the breaking news, which is why I have Fox on (no, I am not a "Fox Fan" .

Yeah, like that would have worked.

(30,885 posts)I have no idea who the Fox "anchor" is but she's a cross between Nancy Grace and Joan Rivers (she has a thick LAWNG ISLAND accent).
They're just wallowing in the dirt.

Canada has a law that "a licenser may not broadcast....any false or misleading news." This also means Rush and Glenn are forbidden to broadcast there. Sweet!
That same bogus story made the rounds here not too long ago:

if they ever get a treatment that actually works, you wouldn't have to force people into it, they'd be banging down the doors to get in
the trouble w. rehab is it costs a lot of money and doesn't work for shit, it might even be worth wiping out your family financially IF IT FUCKING WORKED!!!
a 5% recovery rate for drug addicts/alcoholics is no better than chance...

They don't even hide it anymore, Roger Ailes is a proud white hood, Fuck FOX.

(30,885 posts)The anchor was doing her best gossip channel voice when she spoke...REPEATEDLY...about some magazine photo that showed "a crack pipe, and junk JUST PILED UP ALL OVAH THE PLACE..."
But in all fairness, even MSNBC was doing it too, just to a lesser degree. They were bringing on guest after guest and trying to squeeze them for sordid details. One replied with a terse "NO COMMENT," while a few DID take the bait.
The difference, to my ears, was that MSNBC tried to hide their agenda, but Fox didn't. Sad.

(8,556 posts)I watched it for about 30 minutes and Fox for about 5. For the brief period I watched Fox they had Tommy Mottolla on the line and he was pretty much throwing out boilerplate excuses about fame and its costs.
The MSNBC anchor spent most of the time speculating about drugs, Bobby, and whatnot. I doubt the tone was all that different from Fox.
Amerigo Vespucci
(30,885 posts)On the surface, it was different (less blatant). In reality, they were asking the same questions.
