religious pressure from the extreme right

I know it's like beating a dead horse again, but I have to ask:

why is our government catering to those bastards in the Catholic bishops group? Didn't our founding fathers tell them to go to hell, by taking out religious output and input to the government? Isn't that what Freedom of religion is all about?

I know, I know. We need an administration, especially one with a Constitutional lawyer at the helm, to tell these bastards to bugger off.

These bastards on the extreme right will keep taking as many inches as they can, until this country will be as useless as the rest of the world when it comes to areas of power, and this is declared the theocracy they want it to be.

I'm mad as hell that we, as a country, are giving even that first inch to them.
