Virginia Is For Morons

............ Lithwick comes up with a real gem amid the muck:
Virginia Democrat Del. David Englin, who opposes the bill, has said Gilbert's statement "is in line with previous Republican comments on the issue," recalling one conversation with a GOP lawmaker who told him that women had already made the decision to be "vaginally penetrated when they got pregnant." (I confirmed with Englin that this quote was accurate.)
Yes, and anyone who has had their earlobes pierced already has made the decision that, one day, the law would require them to have a tenpenny nail driven into their eye.
Guy Clark was right. Lord, you'd think there's less fools in this world.

The results would be posted publicly so that voters could be accurately informed of just how full of shit they were. A side benefit would be better tracking of expensive meals paid for by lobbyists.
Does Virginia have ballot initiatives? I think this could pass. I'm sure it'd have a large block of female supporters.

I'm beginning to think some actual action for such an initiative (or whatever is most appropriate to Virginia) could be useful to start beating these guys back.

Just wait until the primaries are over and they try to play the "oh, no one wants to talk about those silly social issues" card.
