Mitt Romney needs all those cars because of all those mansions

But wait, mansions in California and Massachusetts? Seems kind of communist. Surely, he has to have a mansion in the heartland, or at least in Michigan, where Romney has a tree fetish:
Nope. He's got a $10 million summer vacation mansion in New Hampshire, were the trees are too tall and too small and too bushy.
Then there's the near-million dollar townhouse the Romneys bought in Belmont, MA order to "downsize" and "simplify" their lives:
There's the $12 million La Jolla, California property, which is totally inadequate at 3,009 square feet. So much so, that the Romneys are razing it and building a 11,000-square-foot mansion in its place.

Deer Valley, Utah...

This feels good, being back in Michigan. You know, the trees are the right height. The streets are just right.

Then there's the near-million dollar townhouse the Romneys bought in Belmont, MA order to "downsize" and "simplify" their lives:
Banker & tradesman reported that Ann D. Romney, wife of former Bay State Governor and presidential contender Mitt Romney, purchased a new townhouse in a luxury Belmont development for $895,000. The Romneys sold their 6,400-square-foot home on Belmonts Main Street last April as part of their efforts to downsize and simplify.

Mitt, the gift that keeps on giving.
Updated to add this from August 2011:
ROMNEY TO QUADRUPLE SIZE OF $12 MILLION CALIFORNIA HOME | Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R), who in June told voters that he was also unemployed, has applied for a permit to bulldoze his 3,000-square-foot, $12 million home in La Jolla, California, and replace it with one nearly four times its size. According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the new home will be two stories and more than 11,000 square feet. Romney also owns a $10 million estate in New Hampshire. His campaign declined to comment on the renovation plans.

UPDATE Romney tells Politico that the existing $12M mansion is inadequate for their needs.

If he lives in at least three homes, he would have to have more. I wonder what they are and if he has chauffeurs.

(116,464 posts)4. Romney problem
is that he keeps trying to portray himself as an unemployed, average guy who does his own laundry.

(65,616 posts)3. Wow that is beyond disgusting.
I hope he personally wasted a huge amount of money on this run for POTUS. What a sad person, what is he compensating for with all the houses?
Did he never get a pony?
