Yahoo Censors Bill Maher’s Criticism of Citizens United

http://www.politicususa.com/en/bill-maher-yahoo-censorship

Video at site

After the Yahoo replay cuts off, Maher said,

My announcement has to do with campaign finance. I did not mention this is in my set because it is not particularly funny, but I don’t know if people realize that a giant change has taken place in American politics since the last time we voted for president. Something called the Citizens United ruling. The Supreme Court ruled you could give unlimited amounts of money. The last time, just the last time, the most you could give was twenty three hundred dollars. This week Sheldon Adelson said that he was prepared to give Newt Gingrich a hundred million, twenty three hundred to a hundred million that’s a lot difference.

So, we’re living in the age of the Super PAC like it or not. Now I am not…No, it is you’re right. It’s super crap, and I am not a billionaire, and I never will be. I just don’t have that gene, but Arianna Huffington does, so I would like to invite her to marry me tonight. That’s my surprise. I am marrying her…. I would like tonight to announce a donation to the Obama super PAC, which has the very unfortunate tongue-twister name Priority USA Action. I know, it was named by Borat. But tonight I would like to give that PAC … one million dollars.

I am doing this because I truly believe that the difference between a country governed by Barack Obama and one governed by Santorum or Mitt Romney is worth a million dollars, but I want to make this very key point. This hurt, okay. I am not really a millionaire, alright. And if there is one takeaway from tonight, you know for all the rich liberals out there, if Bill Maher can do it, you can do it too. If the Republican world that we have seen described in the last year in these debates and over the last hour in my performance for you tonight, doesn’t scare the shit out of you, I don’t know what does…I’ll tell you something folks who look I know look at these Republican clowns and think it’s in the bag. No, it’s not. Obama could lose. This is America. You only get two parties and half the country is f**king nuts.

And how much do they "donate"? Why dont they buy NBC, CBS or a couple of radio stations? The balance of wealthy liberals vs. wealthy assholes is unbelievable.

Bill Mahr is donating $1 million dollars. Adelson is donating $100 million dollars. I think that pretty well sums it up. Now multiple that by 100.

Just one major network is all I ask.

Bill Gates is, by any reasonable definition, a right-wing ideologue. The fact that he gives money away no more makes him liberal than it made Andrew Carnegie's business practices liberal.

He wants an army of obedient antidepressed middle-class drones, and he wants the working class to be invisible. Right-wing all the way. He even has the right-wing version of civil rights down pat - any race or gender is acceptable as long as they act like middle-class and upper-class whites.

It just goes to show how far America, not just the right wing, has moved to the right since Reagan.

CBS, CNN, The New York Times, Newsweek, or a hundred radio stations. Let me know when their money comes even close to buying off legislators like the Koch Bros. or Adelson. Statistically there is no rich liberal influence in politics.

Not so. My congressman, Maurice Hinchey actually listens to constituents, and does what they ask of him. So you do not always need money to influence people.

Granted, there's far more wealthy conservatives than liberals, but my question is this: how many of the wealthy liberals are self-made (e.g. Bill Maher, Warren Buffet)and how many are some type of trust-funders (e.g. Romney, Koch-heads)?
