The Soviet Union had a wonderful constitution. It protected the right to demonstrate, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, etc etc. However, it was just a nice looking piece of paper, because society wasn't allowed by the government to make it a reality. No, workers who took too many sick days were imprisoned. the media was all centrally controlled, and dissent was forcefully punished.

no one is able to, but they're being starved and shrunken.

The time should come when We the People recognize what's happened, and we right the wrongs, rescind the damn law which requires USPS to pay for future health care/retirement, pay them back what they've contributed 'unnecessarily,' and enable them to get back on their feet.

UPS and DHL use the post office to send packages to non-profitable delivery areas since the US post office delivers there, without a profit. So, if there is no post office, there will be no delivery of any kind by anyone to areas not deemed profitable (like all that Republican red farm land in the middle).

but the Postmaster General still needs permission from Congress. I expect Congress to ONCE AGAIN slap him for overstepping his authority. What would be great if they showed him the door.

I need to send a PHYSICAL letter after I call my critters on monday though.

It doesn't mandate it, nor does it state that private entities cannot do it.

Unfortunately if Congress wants to destroy the Post Office, it can. I wish it were otherwise.
