I am so angry with Santorum. He got the first important JFK line wrong.

He said
"SANTORUM: Because the first line, first substantive line in the speech says, "I believe in America where the separation of church and state is absolute." I don't believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute. The idea that the church can have no influence or no involvement in the operation of the state is absolutely antithetical to the objectives and vision of our country. "

That is not the first important line.

"I want to emphasize from the outset that we have far more critical issues to face in the 1960 election: the spread of Communist influence, until it now festers 90 miles off the coast of Florida; the humiliating treatment of our president and vice president by those who no longer respect our power; the hungry children I saw in West Virginia; the old people who cannot pay their doctor bills; the families forced to give up their farms; an America with too many slums, with too few schools, and too late to the moon and outer space."

That is a well written paragraph. One that Ricky would object to. You insensitive SOB.

One poster here said that there are so many schools and roads and building named for JFK. Once you have those numbers Ricky then you can diss JFK. Until then STFU.

I am angry because they blew his head off.

John Connally lies moudrlin in his grave with more metal in his body than came off the "Magic Bullet".

FU Ricky!!

2. I don't think for a second that Unsanitorum has it all wrong.

After all, he has a degree in law, along with two other degrees. I am absolutely certain that he has the intelligence to totally comprehend the idea and the meaning of every word in JFK's speech. He was only doing what lawyers are trained to do - that is to twist and convolute every fact or idea before them in order to make it conform to their point of view (or in most cases, the point of view that they are being paid to support).

In the case of Unsanitorum, I believe that the reason why he would deface the speech of JFK is simply because he is an evil and opportunistic person who seeking to be granted power over the people in this country through their uninformed consent. And he is betting that most people lack the intelligence to be able to see through his ruse.

Don't get mad, get even. Annihilate him at the poll with your vote.

About how they were so sure Obama was a one term president, I never in my wildest dreams expected anything like this complete and masterfully executed cluster fuck.

7. JFK was assassinated as President

THAT is the major problem with Saint Rick's statement. JFK cannot defend or explain his statement. Santorum has NO RESPECT for anyone. Many of us are still alive today who remember JFK and that day on 11/22/63. It happened on my 15th Birthday.

I wonder if His Holiness would have liked the reaction of people crying in the streets that day? How classes in CATHOLIC SCHOOLS were cancelled and the Nuns and Priests PRAYED for the PRESIDENT?

I guess that would make him vomit even more. Well, you know what? Rick Santorum makes ME want to vomit.

9. I will never forget that day. I was in third grade.

We marched over to the church that is 100 yards or less from where I am writing. We prayed for our nation and his family.

I voted for JFK... in kindergarten. He won. So did my Mommy and Daddy even though they were Republicans. They saw greatness in him and being Irish/Catholic didn't hurt either.

He is and will remain my childhood hero.

THEY BLEW HIS HEAD OFF!!!! I still weep to this day... really.

PS there is nothing like the experience of going up Elm in Dallas and seeing Dealey Plaza. I have an audio recording of myself ... I freaked out seeing it for the first time. "OMG I'm here... I'm here!!"

11. The first time I ever voted was for JFK.

At that time, I lived in Florida and the voting age was 21. I was not Catholic but Episcopalian and really did not care what religion JFK was. I just liked him. I remember the day he was assassinated. I was sitting at home with my newborn son and my uncle stopped by and told me what happened. I immediately turned on the TV and learned the bad news.
