(16,350 posts)Surely they know they have the ability to save lives. Surely they understand that their policies cause great suffering and unnecessary death. Yet they go there anyway. It's not because of ignorance or even careless negligence. It's something truly horrifying, like social engineering or contempt or classism, or a combination of the three. These deaths were not a mistake. They are part of the plan.
We have to stand up for the homeless and destitute. If we don't, who will?
