2013 fed. taxes

Me and my wife have always had to pay the 85% tax on social security. This year, using the instructions and using the 'social security worksheet', it works out that we don't have to pay any tax on soc.sec.? We are both in our 70's, have pensions and soc. sec. with just a small required withdrawal from an IRA. Have any of you done you taxes yet and run across this?

If before you were making X amount from the pension, and now you are making less (for instance, I believe a married household gets the tax on 85% of Soc Security happening only if their combined income was GREATER than 12,000 bucks,) then you wouldn't be paying on the Social Security benefits.
