(36,827 posts)...and not even to Presidents like Nixon and Shrub who clearly deserved disrespect.
O'Reilly repeatedly interrupted the President and accused him of lying with zero evidence. The man is a festering asshole who doesn't deserve to be in the same room with the President.

(35,804 posts)I only watched a small part of it because he came off like a bully. Being from NJ, we're pretty much up to here with bullies.
When a person shows disrespect, especially in a situation with someone like a president, it makes them look bad. In this case, O'Reilly didn't come off as a tough journalist or whatever it is he fancies himself. He just came off like a crude jerk who doesn't know how to behave. No class. No savoir-faire. Nothing.

(297,935 posts)his self righteous lies.. just waiting to pounce on the POTUS.
So Obama had a ring side seat to Fox Lies..
They believe [that] because folks like you are telling them that, President Obama said. These kinds of things keep on surfacing in part because you and your TV station will promote them."

(239 posts)to think you are superior to someone because they are more brown than you are. Even if they ARE the President of the US. It's never been ballsy.

(62,325 posts)my idea of 'balls' has been way off all this time. What takes 'balls' is to ignore these morons which liberals finally realized. And since liberals stopped tuning in to this psychopath's ranting and raving, their ratings have dropped.
O'Reilly is a tabloid journalist, that's what he always was. Why on earth would a President of the US even bother with a Tabloid? Would he talk to the Enquirer? Would it take 'balls' to sit down and give them the time of day?
WHO CARES what they think or do? Obama appears to care more about what these morons think than what those who elected him think.
I'd like to see him now sit down and talk to Greenwald. THAT would take 'balls'. I doubt he would wave his finger at a US President, he would be respectful but truthful. But he seems to be always seeking approval from these right wingers. Someone should inform him of what most of us have known for a long time, you could stand on your head, you could present them with a million dollar check, you could place them a powerful position in your Democratic Cabinet against the wishes of your base, see Gates, eg, and you will never get their approval.
I personally am terrified of ever being approved of by O'Reilly and his ilk. If it ever happened I would have to seriously check myserf. As FDR said, 'I welcome their hatred'. Because you know someone as much by their enemies as by their friends. I am very comfortable with my enemies. I wonder why the President constantly tries to get them to 'understand' him.

president in such situation. Whomever is responsible for this shit should be fired.

(86,897 posts)45 seconds of this that I could stomach, it appears that all of these sh*t4brainz are all about showing disrespect to this high and mighty black guy and this is how they show their customers that they have the balls to be brazenly idiotic and disrespectful because it makes them feel good about their hatred. It validates their ignorance and glorifies it.
And the fact that they walk away from these thinking, "Oh, we showed him!" is so idiotic. He schools them with intelligence and class EVERY single time and they are too ignorant to even realize it at all. I really don't know how any of them sleep at night with such hatred and bigotry in their hearts.

(239 posts)for those who just "dismiss" this President - as a man, as a person, as the President. I just had a FB convo today with someone that called the President "defiant". I just found that a very odd word choice when referring to a grown man who is President of the US. They said he works for them and they see him as a defiant child. What? That just blows my mind. This President has been working twice as hard to get half as much since before day one - and that's such bullshit, imo. Had they "accepted" him as President, imagine the things he could have accomplished. I guess I was wrong and the US really wasn't ready for a bi-racial President. To me, all of these things equal "uppity" and "boy". It just makes me ashamed and sad.
