House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D) won't be appearing on "The O'Reilly Factor" anytime soon.
A reporter for Bill O'Reilly's Fox News program confronted Pelosi on Thursday during her weekly press conference, according to Politico, because she had apparently promised O'Reilly at the Kennedy Center Honors that she would sit down for an interview.
We know youre a woman of your word, the reporter said. Weve been calling your office and theyve said youve been busy in February, March, April, June Im wondering, I know youre a woman of your word, and Im asking if youre going to be honoring your commitment.
Well, I didnt make any commitment to him, we were having a social conversation," Pelosi declined. "In fact, it was at the White House, the first time I ever saw him because I never see him on TV. But then Greta came along and Ive known her for a very long time, so I did Greta."
The minority leader had appeared on fellow Fox News host Greta Van Susteren's program during the State of the Union address.
One of these days, its open ended," she added. "One of these days maybe I will. I was not pleased with the disrespect that he showed to the president, so that wasnt a warmer upper."
What was disrespectful? the reporter asked.
It speaks for itself, Pelosi said.
O'Reilly would disagree. He blasted the media for framing the questions during his sit-down with Obama, which aired Sunday ahead of Super Bowl XLVIII, as typically "Republican." That interview, he said, is "going to go down in journalistic history."
