obvious reasons - to begin, the man is a homophobic loon and his apparent teaching philosophy is quite mad - one would think "a fiscally responsible" School board would recognize some very costly law suits coming down the road.

Known this guy all his life, he has always been a bully and all around nasty person. He is so much worse in person. He was heavily involved with the Freshwater case, trying to grab as much attention as he could. The Freshwater thing cost the Mt. Vernon schools a ton of money they could not afford. The same thing is going to happen to the Lakewood district as well.

Ohio is such a strange place. We have tons of great universities and colleges, but we have a huge population of right wing nuts including quite a few Klan and John Birchers, along with a very large and gullible population of religious fundamentalists.

The rethugs are trying to destroy our public schools and universities with a very aggressive privatization of public schools and meddling with the universities. The test case for the universities is what they are doing to the University of Akron. They are eliminating over 50 degree programs and requiring all degree programs that are left guarantee that the degrees link to a specific job after graduation. It is really stupid, an example being elimination of marketing from the business school. What the heck.

This was really important to stop this guy from being hired into the public school system. It saves those kids from being bullied harassed by someone who has a bizarre view of the world and the school district from lawsuits.
