Under rules issued today by the U.S. Treasury Department, employers with 50 to 99 full-time workers now will have until 2016 to supply these workers with affordable health insurance, USA Today and media are reporting.
Meanwhile, firms with 100 workers or more now will only have to provide coverage to at least 70 percent of their staff next year. By 2016, they'll have to cover 95 percent.
This marks the second major delay to the so-called employer mandate of Obamacare.

This is beginning to sound like the reporting done on the CBO comment about 2.5 million jobs

(4,735 posts)employees in 2015. Before this change, they did. They do have to report in 2015 if they provided coverage, but no penalties if they do not.
If this is a big deal or not depends on if you work for an employer with 50-99 FTE's or not (if they do not already provide HI).
