Real killer of Meredith Kercher eligible to be freed
Rudy Guede, whose DNA and fingerprints and footprints were found all over the murder scene, and on the body of Kercher, is now eligible for parole after only 6 years served. Meanwhile, Amanda Knox, whose DNA is nowhere at the murder scene, has been sentenced to 26 years in prison.

Why was Guede sentenced so lightly (16 years)? Why, after he was arrested breaking into a school armed with a knife only a short time before the Kercher murder, did the police order his immediate release? Answer: he was a confidential informant, and the police had to protect their source. Or so says an FBI agent, who has long experience "running" confidential informants.
