I'm not too terribly far south of you I suppose, but enough to keep that white stuff off my lawn! It's chilly here this evening, but if it has snowed in Jacksonville so far this Winter, it has happened when I have been out of town.

but I am not as thrilled to walk in the 30-40 degree temps as they are! At least there is snow to play in. Stay warm!

My cats used to look at me the same way at every first snowfall in New England. I don't think it ever did dawn on them that I could feed the woodstove and keep the house toasty but the great outdoors was beyond me.

my cats were giving me last week on day 3 of no power when the house was like 35 degrees.

They were all giving me the stink eye, as if it was something I did.

But something's afoot. My teensier backyard birds (yellow finches, juncos, titmice, cardinals, wrens, and chickadees today) were all very, very busy this morning.

a well-deserved asskicking for this mess.

In my tiny place, I have no place to put any more snow. Here in the North, we haven't had a mid-winter thaw, and lots more snow than usual. If we get any more snow, and no melt, I will have no place to put the new snow. I don't know what I am going to do!

Please don't send it down here! An inch of persistent ice was enough for us, please don't send it our way again.

It's not all mine! Some of it is the neighbors'. As are the dogs.

and a very nice setting. It reminds me in a way of my mom's house, which is right on the edge of the Ozarks.

So that may be more than coincidence.

It's in a real nice area, so I can't understand why the town itself is in decline.

What a nice looking place, snow is just beautiful (wish we'd get some)! Kitties in the snow, birds at the feeders, wonderful. Tho my favorite is the tree with the Redbird peeking out; what I miss the most living out here are the Cardinals.
