Norwegian mass murderer Breivik cries 'torture' over outdated Playstation

Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik has complained that he is facing 'torture' in prison, because, among other things, he is not allowed access to a more up-to-date Playstation computer console.

Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik has threatened to go on hunger strike for better video games and other perks to alleviate his "torture"-like prison conditions, in a letter received by AFP Friday.

The right-wing extremist -- who killed 77 people in a bombing and shooting rampage on July 22, 2011 -- enclosed a typed list of 12 demands sent to prison authorities in November.

He described as "torture" the conditions in two prisons -- Ila near Oslo and Skien in southeast Norway -- where he is serving out a 21-year sentence. The demands include better conditions for his daily walk and the right to communicate more freely with the outside world, which he argues are in line with European rights legislation.

He also demanded the replacement of a PlayStation 2 games console for a more recent PS3 "with access to more adult games that I get to choose myself" as well as a sofa or armchair instead of a "painful" chair.

In cases like this, where there is literally no doubt and the crimes are exceptionally heinous, I fully support immediate execution following conviction. Andres deserves a bullet to the head and to be forgotten.

There are 77 people unable to even breathe because of this pig, screw him and his unreasonable demands.

He's lucky he is in that legal system and not that of the U.S. Here he probably would be on death row and or in prison for the rest of his worthless life.

"If I die, all of Europe's right-wing extremists will know exactly who it was that tortured me to death ... That could have consequences for certain individuals in the short term but also when Norway is once again ruled by a fascist regime in 13 to 40 years from now," he warned, calling himself a "political prisoner".

These RW extremists believe they are the chosen people, just like you or I believe the sky is blue.

So sayeth the defenders of Norway's wonderful justice system here at DU (who not surprisingly are absent from this thread), even though they can give zero explanation as to how they are going to keep him held when said 21 years expire. I mean, how would that be "fair", right?

Mind you, the prisons there are like day spas. And that's praised here while this right wing asshole laughs about blowing away 77 promising young liberal minded people.

I don't know enough about the Norwegian criminal justice system to say if it's better or not, but I know enough to know that Breivik's sentence can be extended if he's still deemed a threat to society. Which he will be.

http://www.salon.com/2012/08/24/qa_about_norway_massacre_case/

Yes the official max sentence is 21 years, but there are provisions that if the prisoner is still found to be a threat, the prisoner remains in jail. Do you really think they are going to decide a guy who describes himself as a militant nationalist, who killed 77 people, mostly kids, out?

Compared to U.S. prisoners he has it make. Allegedly they can keep on extending his sentence if they judge him to be still dangerous. I hope that is so. If he does get out, I hope he is murdered himself, the prick.

Let's be realistic. At least in a Scandinavian country, the cops are a good deal more responsible.

My understanding is that Norway can hold him past 21 years until he's "safe for society", which I hope they agree is NEVER.
