Thank you for the heart. With the way things have been going lately it made the past couple of days

brighter.

I don't know who gave it to me but THANK YOU!

I've had a few backward steps in my recovery, therapy and our economic situation the last few weeks along with other things that I won't go into because I'll just get more depressed.

One thing I'd like to say is how much I like and appreciate DU. It's a place to come to that feels, for want of a better word, good.

It's like an island of civility and sanity in an increasingly uncivilized and getting crazier world where my main contact with the world is my computer, radio and my wife and a couple of relatives. No TV, it went out in may and even though someone gave us another one, I'm not putting it in until I can get up and walk and do it myself. And maybe not even then. I don't miss it much.

The way the site is run, the way trolls are handled, the way ideas and disagreements are discussed without things breaking down into batshitcrazy rants and personal attacks (most of the time) makes for a good lurk and/or participation if someone wants to put in their two cents worth.

The amount of compassion shown by people here is good to see too.

I hope and want to be more active here, but I get so tired, so easily, that I fall asleep at the drop of a hat sometimes. Especially when meds get adjusted.

Well, time to give some antibiotics to one of our cats (Sassy) and check on our 4 new additions. They were a surprise because we thought we had gotten our last intact male neutered in time.

Here's pics of Sassy, Little Momma and babies and the proud Poppa...Buddy.

I'll be making a post in the Pet Forum with more pics and a back story to this feline soap opera later.

Thanks DU and everyone here. You rock!

The new kittens are 8 days old and so far they, and mom, seem to be doing fine. Will post pics in Pet Forum when I feel a little better.

Sassy is 5 months old and Buddy is about 11 or 12 months. We saved Little Momma and Buddy from being dumped out in the country by our neighbors.
