(32,099 posts)The only thing I hate more than OT is seeing a 2 goal lead pissed away in the last three minutes of the game.

(10,164 posts)I'm about as casual a hockey fan as you can get (and still watch the sport at all), and I've got my eyes glued to the screen. This is great stuff...

(949 posts)After watching these awesome women this year, all teams too, I propose the following:
A WNHL... Womens National Hockey League...
30 game season.... 10-12 teams.. and they're own version of the cup...
Who's down with this?
scheming daemons
(25,487 posts)Much less interest than the WNBA.
No financial viability.

(32,099 posts)Just not when they play the US in hockey. I will really hate rooting against three of my favorite players tomorrow in the men's game.
CTyankee
(63,914 posts)I don't think they are sore winners and they seem kinda modest.
GoCubsGo
(32,099 posts)Just not when they play us. If the men make it to the gold medal round, it will depend on who they play. If it's Sweden, I'll be torn. How can I choose between Toews-Sharp-Keith and Hjalmarsson-Oduya-Kruger? Please win USA men! Go Kaner!
CTyankee
(63,914 posts)lifetime that only a few ever do! And I'm not so sure that losing at something you worked very hard to get is the worst thing, either. I think you learn more from a loss than a win.
AND, they're young...

(6,929 posts)So many times my team is winning only to collapse in the last minute and ultimately lose. I can't even get upset any more!

(63,914 posts)OTOH, if they were off their game and let it slip (as my husband says they did), then that's a "teachable moment."
