12:44 p.m. EST, February 21, 2014

Authorities are responding to a report of shots fired near Lake Mary High School, WFTV-Channel 9 is reporting.

Seminole County Public Schools spokesman Michael Lawrence said the school is under a lockdown but could not confirm details about what is happening in the area.

A large group of students were walked out of the school with their hands on their heads. Lawrence said that was likely a part of the school's emergency protocol. It's not clear where the students were taken but no injures have been reported.

Nearby schools have also been locked down. N other information was released.

This is a breaking news story and will be updated as soon as more information is released. Check back later for updates.

Authorities: No shots fired at Lake Mary High School

Channel 9's Karla Ray learned the 911 call came in about shots being fired but deputies and police inside the school have not found anything at this time.

The district has confirmed with Channel 9 that the school is under Code Red and is on lockdown at this time but they have not given any other details.
