(10,745 posts)If you want my opinion on that piece, I do think that *both* genders should be involved in combatting the problem of objectification, not just men, and not just women; we need a concerted *collective* effort. I may not agree with some of the wording, but there's still some validity to the argument.

(20,600 posts)they discriminate about what friends they choose, what people they are attracted to, even what foods they eat.
And if someone is discriminating based on prejudice (I mean, in their personal life, of course institutions are different and subject to federal laws), well, sure its bad, but what ultimately can be done? Nothing. Not without getting all big brother-ish and thought control-ish..
