DANIEL STRAUSS FEBRUARY 25, 2014, 3:55 PM EST
Former President Bill Clinton stumped for Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes, who is running for Senate in Kentucky, and he said that Republicans, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, "just pout if [their] party is not in the White House and make as many problems as [they] can."
Clinton praised Grimes as a pragmatist that would go to Washington to fix problems there with common sense solutions.
He also praised Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear (D) who has received repeated praise for helping to shape the state's Obamacare website, kynect.
"I'm just telling you what works everywhere in the world today is the same thing your governor did on this healthcare issue," Clinton said Tuesday. The former president said Beshear said "'okay, here's an option: to give people access to affordable healthcare, bring the cost of healthcare down, make Kentucky more competitive, improve family lives for people and is it perfect? no. What am I going to do? I'm going to work to do the best I can with it.'"

(13,986 posts)They pouted thus when he was Prexy. I remember an interview he gave in which he said something to the effect of "they hate me because I won something they feel entitled to: the Oval Office".
Paraphrasing, but that was the gist. True then, and true today.

(564 posts)If they have no power, how come they have Congress jammed up? How come their message is all over the media.
I think Bill Clinton has a screwed up view on what having power is.
