Planned Parenthood Launches Biggest Campaign Push Ever
Planned Parenthood is going on a major campaign offensive in the 2014 midterm election cycle, the biggest the political action committee has ever undertaken, Politico reported Wednesday.
Through Planned Parenthood Action Fund and Planned Parenthood Votes, the organization is planning on spending $18 million on Senate and gubernatorial races this cycle. That's including the $2.4 million the group has already spent in the Virginia governor's race in 2013.
The group plans to spend in more than 14 states this cycle, according to the Politico report. The beginning of the campaign includes digital ads in Alaska, North Carolina and Texas.
In a tweet, Planned Parenthood Action Fund President Cecile Richards predicted that women would be key to winning the 2014 election cycle.
