Two Senators showed up to hear Seth Rogen testify about how his fiance's mother is afflicted with Alzheimer's. After giving a heartfelt speech about it, he took to Twitter to call them out about how low of a priority it obviously is to most of the Senators.
Do these people ever work? Seriously, how many other jobs do you know of where workers get to take as much time off as Congress does?

(19,847 posts)Seth Rogen is not an expert on the topic. He is a celeb who like many others is brought in to DC to draw attention to a topic because the people who are experts probably can't. It's just possible the senators had more important things to do at that time than listen to Seth Rogen.

(12,081 posts)showing up they should not have scheduled it. I think it is disrespectful of them not to show up. I have the BRCA1 gene and have had preventative surgery to lessen my risk of breast cancer of which my mother and grand mother died. If Angelina Jolie was speaking to Congress about breast cancer research and no one showed up I would be very angry.

My wife (then fiance) took it harder; seeing how she had just met my dad a year before he was diagnosed. She loved how funny he was. Then she got to witness it: the slow decline then the sudden drop off of a cliff.
My biggest regret is that he would never know his youngest grandchild.
To my dad. To your dad.
