I think she'd really be happiest with a position on the Supreme Court, where she wouldn't have to raise tons of money to support a campaign.
And she could be a pivotal figure on the Court for a period outlasting a Presidency.
O'Malley, on the other hand, seems to enjoy being a politician. Warren not so much.

(68,644 posts)Head hurts but surgery went well and I already have a room.
My surgeon and his team are literally the best and this was a skull implant, not a brain surgery, so recovery from meds pretty rapid.
12:15 surgery, woke up in recovery ward around 5 and goat a room about 6:30.
Thanks for the vibes!

(13,877 posts)actually educate...not BS or fudging or teaching to the test or how to advance to the next grade by goodies brought to the class.
She's found her place in our hearts, and she will advance in her way, in her time and the way that suits who she is. And we're lucky to have her in any public position.
Just saw her on Rachel, and the other thing teachers are...passionate about their job.
Go Elizabeth!!

(14,276 posts)I would rather see her in that role than president. It seems a better use of her talents and would ensure a legacy that would make this country better.

(41,182 posts)and voice of the people. I think she's best in a public leadership role, especially in these difficult times. As to SCOTUS she would be an excellent jurist but not anytime soon, she's much needed and effective elsewhere. Maybe in the future.

(34,589 posts)Our Next President - it would be nice to have her as President. Winning is way better than losing, and she's consistently a friend of the 99%, to boot.
RobertEarl
(13,685 posts)If she decides not to run (which I doubt) she will inspire the next president to at least give careful consideration of we 99%. Every little bit could help as we are up against the wall and being bent over by the establishment that is controlled by big money. Big money has already told us Liz is their enemy.

HRC won the ultimate political battle.....she defeated a Presidential impeachment, dozens of faked scandals, and the personal hatred of the VRWC....she not only survived, but beat all those men of little account.

(37,549 posts)Who do you think came up with the legal strategy that returned a no true bill from the DC grand jury?
She played those Congressional assholes like fiddles. Who do you think worked the Senate? And then became a Senator?
grasswire
(50,130 posts)...and it wasn't Hillary who stopped the impeachment. It was my old friend Dan Moldea, investigative reporter in D.C. with many NYT best-selling books in print on various high-profile crimes. He worked for Flynt on this project. The insiders know.

(17,414 posts)I would prefer SCOTUS nominees in their 50s, even a highly qualified candidate in his 40s should be seriously considered. It's about shaping the Court for a generation.

(51,076 posts)to the reigns of power. This girl gets it and knows what the hell is going on and ain't afraid to call it as it is either. Her and Bernie are my favorite Senators by far.
Sorry I have to bring Bernie in on an Elizabeth thread but by and large they are the only two we really have. Theres others like Sherrod Brown, Al Franken and on but not too damn many do. Most are in it for the money when it comes right down to it, that and the power that comes with being a congress person. You can bet the numbers of good'ns can be counted on the fingers of any one of us fingers.
