The death toll is expected to rise
Hundreds joined a protest in the Kenyan town of Garissa against the Islamist group al-Shabaab on Friday, a day after the militants from neighboring Somalia stormed a nearby college campus and killed at least 147 people.
The assault has rocked the nation and also raised questions about security measures after multiple warnings of a potential terror attack were raised in the days prior.
Its because of laxity by the government that these things are happening. For something like this to happen when there are those rumors is unacceptable, Mohamed Salat, a Somali Kenyan businessman, told Reuters.
Early Thursday, assailants armed with guns and grenades attacked the Garissa University College Campus, targeting Christian students and killing nearly 150 people, mostly students, with the death toll expected to rise.

(111,383 posts)and it's happening worldwide, centered around all the Wahab "schools" they have been funding for decades.
This is a multi front war for the soul of Islam.
We'd better hope the Wahabbi factions don't win.

(12,977 posts)It's not so much that they approve of massacres as that they're terrified of the royal family being overthrown. So they cater to the radical mullahs to get their support -- and at the same time they send their own malcontents like Osama bin Laden to engage in mayhem abroad. Win-win as far as they're concerned, but a big lose for everyone else.

(111,383 posts)because there is less threat to their royal family if the whole world is Wahab.
Vicious rage-o-holics find a ready group of foot soldiers in the graduates of these places, all men and all wanting to purify the world to SA standards.

This is just a part of a 1500 year african race war.

(660 posts)This was predicated on religious differences. Tribal loyalties and boundaries in Knya have subsided over the years in favor of a Kenyan identity. One thing we can thank thr British for: their brutality in Kenya really demonstrated the enemy of my enemy schtick works.
