Hey, Religious "Freedom" Laws Open The Door To Discrimination Against Women Too

PoliticusUSA

One day people will wake up and wonder why they can no longer get the pill in their state, let alone an abortion. They can thank a Republican for the RFRA.

Atheists, pagans, wiccans, even Protestants who believe in civil rights for all could face discrimination under the RFRAs which have absolutely nothing to do with religious freedom and everything to do with bigotry. I don't think either Jesus or our founding fathers would be happy with the Orwellian use of the idea of tolerance.

a movement where the members of other religions can claim there rights when confronted with something they object to on faith-based terms. I, for one, have my own "religion" when I am faced with such issues - like in Idaho when they signed such a law several years ago when I lived there (meant to protect mormons in a mormon owned state BTW - I started stating that my religion prohibited me from participating in some acts that were offensive to me.

We should all claim our religious rights because if ALL religions are protected by the Constitution, then we can all make this work to our advantage if we think about rationally it for a couple minutes.
