Paris subway billboard causes major brouhaha: WAR ON CHRISTIANITY!!!!! OMG! OMG!

A concert billboard for the benefit of Eastern Christians was refused by the advertising authority of the Paris metro. Reason given: the "principle of neutrality of a public service." And, political associations are up in arms.

The RATP is being heavily criticized for refusing the wording "to the benefit of Eastern Christians" on 250 billboards for a concert of the group "The Priests".

Beginning Saturday, April 4, a new advertising campaign has been on offer in the Paris metro. To calm the controversy, RATP and its advertising agency, Metrobus, have tried linguistic subtlety: so exit the words "Eastern Christians" and welcome to "The Work of the East."
