Good morning, all y'all. I'm almost never here these days, what with blueberry farming and medical cannabis politicking here in Tennessee. But I did want y'all to know about this upcoming event, in case any of you TN and KY DUers can come.
I suspect it will be the first Earth Day keynote anywhere to focus entirely on medical cannabis and its role in creating the earth we want. Should be a good time. I hope it's well attended. (The presentation will be filmed and posted online.)
What a long, strange trip it's been.
Thank the Goddess
Now back to the Garden.

I will be presenting information from the hour-long presentation I gave to the TN Department of Agriculture senior staff last September.
I hope you folks will help spread the word in middle Tennessee and Kentucky. Thanks kindly.

(26,661 posts)I hope they are studying the hemp plant as a whole. Hemp is one of nature's miracles, like bamboo without the benefits.

(5,265 posts)I fully support hemp production but I do not want it within 200 miles upwind of me. Industrial hemp produces up to 40 tons of pollen per acre and that wind blown pollen can go a long way. If it comes in contact with a sensimilla mmj plant, it shuts down the process which makes the mmj plant so useful.
Industrial hemp will be the major biohazard for mmj production going forward. So free hemp ... and buy it a one way bus ticket to Des Moines, where feral hemp already makes mmj production impractical.

(157 posts)I hope you achieve what you seek out - and I wholly support MMJ and legal pot - and fortunate to live in a state where it is as such.
I agree that MMJ does have its top values, especially CBD which has been doing wonders for my back.
I'm currently in a state north of you (at least if my geography is right), so will return home in a few days and get the CBD back on as my body supply is out.
