(13,685 posts)I have a feeling Hillary's heart just isn't into running and running and running.
I bet Bill is pushing her hard to run, run, run?

(90,896 posts)...Hillary's opponents in the New York Senate races. Said she was exceedingly well-prepared, excelled in small groups, and worked very hard indeed. Rachel said the sexist dig on Hillary was that she was ambitious, as though any man who ever ran for POTUS lacked that quality.
I think Bill has always encouraged her and is proud of her achievements. I don't think he is her Svengali or Rasputin or whatever. It's a partnership marriage.
Interestingly enough when they were in college together and both politically involved, the opinion of those who knew them was that SHE was the one who had the native ability to become President, and would probably do just that. Instead she followed him to his home state, got her law career going, and became First Lady to his Governor and then to his President.
Only after all of Bill's political ambitions were fulfilled did she run for office herself. It's her turn -- not the way people snarkily say it here regarding Democratic political machinations, but between the two of them. I'm sure the Clintons consult with each other all the time, but she's plenty ambitious all by herself.

(4,452 posts)Sorry,I know the face, I've seen it on the TV machine and she even seems to say some intelligent things but really she's just a presenter/commentator that has little history of being right about anything.
I have to admit to being uninformed by commercial US media but has there been a change toward real information as opposed to denial, disinformation, and disillusionment, or FUD that they have practiced for decades?

But, first, it is unfair to hold it against her being on the board of Walmart. When was that? In the 80s? And, how do you know that she did not try to moderate Walmart actions?
Second, unfair to hold her on what her husband did. They are not joined in the hip. She is her own person.
You don't see the passion, wait for her to start her campaign.
Last, as we've seen with Obama: all the good intentions and great oratory - once you are in the White House you are faced with fact like... a Great Recession. Or, worse, like DINOs who, for example, would not add the public option to ACA because "small business don't like it."
Elizabeth Warren is not running (and, by the way, she used to be a Republican at some point). And I think that Warren's passion can do a lot more good in the Senate - where she is not shackled by facts as one is in the White House.

(12,504 posts)there is almost a cackle quality to it and it drives me to distraction. So I always tend to go potty or make a lovely cuppa tea when she is on.
That being said, I guess she's a smarty pants, but I never listen long enough to find out.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS
Apparently The Trash Clinton Dissenters season has begun.....
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Fri Apr 10, 2015, 03:37 PM, and the Jury voted 0-7 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: How sensitive are we? Alert isn't to disagree with someone.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: WTF is wrong with this? Does not meet the criteria for which this alert was wasted on AFAIC. Perhaps the alertist would prefer to clutch their pearls next time instead?
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Alerter needs to take a break. Seriously.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Krystal Ball is on record as opposing Clinton's run for President.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Yes, The Trash Clinton Dissenters season has come, as has The Trash Clinton Supporters. I can't imagine which team the alerter is on.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: This is a joke alert, right?
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

(46,585 posts)I agree with her. Hillary Clinton is definitely not the candidate for the times. Contrary to the New/Third Way clowns, populism is a winner and Hillary Clinton is no populist.

(46,585 posts)... so stop acting like it is a fait accompli. When she executes #FACEPLANT2, YOU will have a GOP candidate to vote for if you prefer like many PUMA douchenozzles did in 2008.

(3,580 posts)When she was running for the house seat. She was expecting more support and donations. I live in her district. Lack of Hillary supporters was not her problem. She did not run a professional campaign but I give her credit for trying. She made some mistakes against a heavily supported GOP who didn't make mistakes. The GOP has held onto that seat so I don't think she would have won if only Hillary had done more. The dem party did not put up a strong fight for that seat. They never do.
Major Hogwash
(17,656 posts)I had always wondered if there was an unspoken quid pro quo with supporters of Presidential candidates who expected help in return later when they decided to run for office themselves.
Krystal is pretty young, but I haven't watched the Cycle in a few years.
I thought she was replaced on that program before I quit watching it.
