This murderous cop is just fucking evil, we need to call cops what they are - death squads

Mearkle shot Kassick as he laid face down on the ground in the snow, unarmed, during a routine traffic stop gone awryMearkle had attempted to pull Kassick over for an expired inspection sticker, but the situation escalated when Kassick attempted to flee from the officer.

Eventually Mearkle caught up to the motorist close to his sister’s home where he was staying, but Kassick got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. As he was attempting to run away, he was incapacitated by the officer’s taser which she held in her left hand. With her right hand, she unnecessarily pulled out her service gun and shot the unarmed man twice in the back as he lay face-down on the ground.

Killed By Police 2015
Corporate news reports of people killed by nonmilitary law enforcement officers, whether in the line of duty or not, and regardless of reason or method.
Inclusion implies neither wrongdoing nor justification on the part of the person killed or the officer involved. The post merely documents the occurrence of a death.

Police in Germany only fired 85 times at or in the vicinity of criminal suspects during the course of 2011, according to a government-commissioned report.

Statistics compiled by the German Police University show that German police officers fired a total of 49 warning shots and 36 shots aimed at individuals while pursuing suspects last year. From those incidents, 15 people were injured, and six were killed.

Those numbers are actually down from the previous year, when police expended 96 bullets in the line of duty, resulting in the death of seven suspects.

Germany, the EU's most populous member state, is home to over 80 million inhabitants.

It is worth noting that an additional 8812 bullets were employed in the handling of "dangerous, sick, or injured animals" (down 5% from 2010's 9336), but most of those situations involved "freeing animals from their suffering" following a traffic accident.

victims have no chance for justice, the problem is an epidemic.

One or two convictions for murder is just the beginning, not the end. Every one of these cases needs to be brought to the surface.

I'd like every single one of these corrupt cops brought to justice. One or two a year doesn't mean shit.

It's right in the link.
Every police shooting isn't a bad shoot.
This one was and is being treated appropriately.
I hope the family of this poor guy can find some solace and relief from their pain. It's horrible.

and in every community. The deaths are under-reported, and often buried with the victim.

The one or two convictions doesn't make up for the thousands of unlawful use of force by a police force out of control.

The violence needs to be front and center and it IS ABSOLUTELY as Democratic Party concern.

We need psych tests to test current and future police officers so were not letting crazies run patrols.

The same is said about Michael Slager and Panteleo.

There are people in this world who are mentally unstable/ill and take joy in the act of murder. Those kinds of people tend to be attracted to positions of authority.

because it is sexist, just as the N word is racist in meaning but is used for other races as well. Neither have a place in our language, again, IMHO. We've learned not to use the word "retarded" as well and we all know that a Bitch is a female dog, but it's not OK to use it to refer to a person.

There are other pejoratives that can be used that don't reflect sex or gender.

We're all learning here...Peace.
