I've never heard ANYONE comment negatively about that scene and Chief Marge Gunderson is a cultural icon of sorts.

And this scene happened to be on. Made me think of all the recent discussion.

(25,348 posts)5. Wonderful police work. WHAT IF: A person worked for a store...the boss gave the person some store..
,,,dummies that were damaged by mischievous pranksters that painted them with red paint...so the guy was just grinding them up for an unspecified use.
Sounds silly..maybe but it COULD happen and today's Police Force would have riddled the person with bullets ...for nothing.
