1 year, 7 months. Are you kidding me? Am I in the twilight zone?
Edited to make this a little more clear.
When people started to announce candidacy for president here recently I wanted to start bashing my head against my desk. Edit here:
Stop the sniping, focus on issues and what we need to know so we can make informed choices. No ones head needs to explode.
I want an election, not a reality show. Edit here: It's an election, for gods sake. Not jersey shore. Hey Media- Calm the flip down.
I want an Alan Grayson or an Elizabeth Warren, I want a person who isn't afraid to say what they believe and stand by it instead of pandering to get nominated- then pandering again to get the election. Edit here: I really hope someone else comes forward as a good and valid choice.
I want to feel good about my vote, not hold my nose.
Don't get me wrong, I WILL vote for HC if I have no other choice. I won't let my vote go to any form of crackpot from the right. I won't abstain from voting in some sort of protest.
(sighs)
Bleh.

(1,716 posts)I'm more referring to peoples heads exploding every time someone announces that they are putting their hat in the ring.
Then expressing the hope that someone I can feel good about voting for jumps in.
Does that make it any clearer?

(62,279 posts)More like 8 months since the first to announce isn't getting a real challenge that early. Could even be reduced to 6 months in this case since other Democrats aren't willing to stand up. Bernie should be changing parties today if he was going to do anything. We'll see how it goes.

(43,049 posts)the day after Election Day, he was asked when he'll start the re-election campaign.
"Tomorrow."
It's insane, and even worse is the right wing talking about waste but never about the billions spent on elections.
