Personally, I would have had the arrow pointing to the left, but it's nothing to get worked up over, whichever direction it's pointing.

but since there is the letter 'H' and text, and our natural tendency is to read from left to right, a left-facing arrow may appear 'backward' in a non-political sense.

One thing I'm definitely NOT worried about is that the logo indicates she will move to the right. I have concerns that she will, in fact, run more to the right than I want her to, but she's not so stupid as to try to telegraph something like that with her choice of logo. I think all the hubbub is mostly a function of it being a politically-slow news day.
