Since 2011, there has been majority support for marriage equality

That's all Americans, not just dems. It's not a particularly daring position for a dem politician. In fact, Hillary didn't announce her support for marriage equality until 2013. Nice that she featured LGBT folks in her announcement video, but it's not exactly the profile in courage that some are making it out to be. It's a safe position.

to LGBT community members, this is a huge deal, thank you very much. To those that aren't with us any longer, I'm sure it would mean very much to them too.

There are 36 pages of reported hate crimes ranging from 2009 until now. I think work still needs to be done. LGBT people can still legally be fired from our jobs. I want a candidate that's interested in correcting that. If Hillary is that candidate, then so be it.

as many here are claiming. Yes, work still needs to be done- in many different arenas regarding hate. racism, anti-semitism, Islamaphobia, misogyny, and on and on.

I think people are saying that it's historic that the LGBT community is being included openly and not some dirty secret to be pandered to in a back room for donations and votes, which is how we're generally treated.

My goodness, let us enjoy the inclusion and visibility for a day.
