WATCH: Terrified Tea Party Patriot realizes he could lose Obamacare if GOP wins in 2016David Edwards

A conservative video blogger with over a million views on YouTube said this week that he would likely vote for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton because he was terrified that a Republican president would take away his affordable health insurance. And Im serious because I asked myself, Which party has helped me out the most in the last, I dont know, 15 years, 20? And it was the Democrat (SIC) Party,
Webb lamented. If it wasnt for Obama and that Obamacare, I would still be working. With Obamacare, I got to retire at age 50 because if it wasnt for Obamacare, I would have had to work until I was 65 and get on Medicare because health insurance is expensive when youve got medical problems, he continued...
...But you know, the Republican Party, they havent done nothing for me, man. Nothing, he remarked. So, Im leaning toward voting for Hillary unless something major comes up. I dont trust the Republicans anymore because theyre wanting to repeal the Obamacare. And I dont want them to do that, man, because then Ill have to go to work again. My lifes already planned out.

(34,139 posts)They lost their Medicaid coverage since Rick Scott would not approve the Medicaid expansion. On full disability with an income of only $1800 a month this fully disabled couple that is no longer able to work lost their Medicaid. Without regular visits to their various specialists they are in serious danger of sudden death. As it is, the husband had to cancel an eye care check up which was drastically needed since he's near to unable to read.
They were in a complete panic until my husband (per my suggestion) gave them the toll free number for HealthCare.gov. Within a few hours of relaying that number to them, he got a call back and they are now covered by a policy they could not afford without Obamacare. It will still cost them $115 a month for the Silver Plan they selected but that will be affordable while paying for health coverage out of pocket would be impossible.
I told my husband that they need to think about who they vote for in the future. They voted for Rick Scott and for Mitt Romney. If they vote Republican in the future they are not only dumbasses, they are suicidal in my opinion.

(9,350 posts)Is everyone sure this is not a parody. Some of the things this guy said sound like a parody. I realize that a number of Tea Party members are hypocrites, but Tea Party members are supposed to be against some of the things he said. He talks about not wanting to go back to work. Tea Party members are supposed to be opposed to people who do not want to work. He claimed he did not want Republicans to repeal Obamacare. Tea Party members are supposed to be opposed to Obamacare from the start. He also said he was in the Army when Reagan was President and he enjoyed being in the Army during that time.

(3,732 posts)Isn't he illustrating that Democrats allow people to "get away with" not working by letting them fall back on entitlements? And he's equating Obamacare (health care) with disability/welfare ("not working" here.
Also, Hillary has been laying it on pretty thick with her emphasis on "hard work" being the identifying feature of the choir she's preaching to.
My call: it's a trap!

(7,675 posts)company house, your kids went to a company school and you went to a company doctor if you were sick or injured. You become a slave to the company and learn not to rock the boat, make demands or change jobs unless you get a job where you can buy all those things with a paycheck. Those are the days the 1% want to return to. Without affordable and portable health insurance American workers are prisoners to their employers whims.
